These are some helpful sites of information in Wind Energy and Wind Assessments.

Wunderground.com - This site provides detailed wind data history by zipcode for locations across the USA.  To find your specific information, click "History Data" at the top of the main page in "Features" toward the right side of your screen.  Enter a "Location" (zipcode) or City State, or airport Code on the 2nd screen and click "Submit".  Then select "Monthly" which is in the middle of the screen just under the Date shown.

You can now scroll down the screen to see a table of Wind info and a graph chart.  The red line in the graph shows the normal wind speed for the selected Location.  The blue dots show wind gusts.  You can see back history of monthly data by changing the "Month" in the "date" listed and then clicking "View".  This will give a good sample set of wind data with seasonality for the location.

Note the wind gusts intensities and frequency.  Our Zwynd™ turbines will operate in high wind environment and not shut down.  The power in wind goes up by a Cube (not linear) function, and we can capture that energy.
