The Zwynd™ Magnetic Levitated Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (MVAWT) are cutting edge technologies that incorporate a number of patent pending technologies to produce a near frictionless, silent, vibration free turbine/generator.
One of the key technologies employed is Magnetic Levitation (Maglev) using rare earth magnets. This is a superior design to an electrically induced magnetic field so the turbine continues to operate in the absence of any power to the magenetic field.
The Turbines are scalable by changing the size of the Wind director panels. Adding wind director panels allows for a larger cross section of wind to be focused into the center core turbine/generator. The increased wind area intercepted increases the wind speed at the turbine, the RPM of the turbine, and the power generated out of the generator. Larger wind directors can be installed in lower wind areas, while smaller wind directors can be added for higher wind areas, and still generate the same power output from the generator.
